The Infinite Fitness Team is proud to announce Tyler Nestor as the Athlete of the Month. Although it isn’t quite hockey season yet, Nestor made sure to put in his time in the gym and on the ice, turning heads in the process.
The Diman junior played in the Massachusetts Hockey Tier 1 Invitational, competing against teams from all over the country and even Canada. Nestor competed for theLovell Knights, scoring a goal, along with logging four assist, en route to the team’s 2-3 finish. Tyler is only one of a few public school players on the Knights, playing with student-athletes from Catholic Memorial, Dexter Academy and Xaverian, among other private and prep schools. But that doesn’t stop him from putting in hard work and performing at a high level.
“The impact the staff at Infinite has had on Tyler has been huge,” his father Tim Nestor said. “He loves to meet the goals set for him by (the) team’s training plan, and he realizes the benefits each and every time he hits the ice.”
Tyler also reached new highs in the weight room, squatting 250 lbs and bench pressing 225 lbs.“Tyler always comes in with a smile on his face,” coach Nick Friar said. “He always gets his work done well and efficiently, but balances his time well so he can talk with fellow Infinite members. He sets a great example for all of ourathletes. He’s a good kid and a great presence in the gym. He proves you can balance school, work, practice and still find time to train.
