For most of my adult life, I was a regular at the gym. I thought I had it all figured out—chest, arms, legs, repeat. But over time, that routine became unsustainable. Instead of getting stronger and healthier, my weight crept up—reaching as high as 320 pounds—and nagging injuries started piling on. It felt like I collected every “-itis” imaginable—patella tendinitis, arthritis—you name it. Those aches and pains became my excuse to avoid the gym altogether. Eventually, I convinced myself that this was just how it was, that my days of working out were behind me.
Taking classes and working with the coaches transformed the way I approach fitness. I used to see it as a destination, a box to check off. Now, I understand it’s a lifelong journey of adjustments and growth. The aches and pains are still there, but thanks to the team at Infinite, my weight has dropped, and I feel stronger than I have in years. No, I can’t run and jump like I did twenty years ago—What matters is that I feel better, move better, and live better. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Infinite Fitness community.
